“I think no matter where you be, you’ll hold me in your memory”-Dorothy Parker
life after death
by Carmen H Gray
Your smile, your circumspect look
Long ago from another lifetime
Revived themselves from somewhere
Deep in the space between where I began
And where I wander now
Your gorgeous laughter mingling
In perfectly obnoxious tune with mine
My friend, my confidante, my spirit walker
Dying brings on new life
Resurrecting dormant connections
Beyond the ashes of your mother
Beyond her coded scribbles
Beyond the giant white moth
And the dried wildflowers saved on your dashboard
Lies life after death
