“We do not pass through the same door twice
Or return to the door through which we did not pass”-T.S. Eliot
by Carmen H Gray
What lies beyond it?
Is it a portal to some unknown place?
Or is it a familiar world I shall retrace?
Some are arched and proud
Singing to all, “enter, you are allowed”
But I daresay the best exits that I’ve passed through
Have been the ones more hidden from view
Where perhaps a misstep sent me
Or by chance it unlocked from a lent key
Surprising and enchanting me
